Position objectives

Lead the design, development, and promotion of advanced optical transport network solutions to drive business growth and market leadership across EMEA and APAC regions. Serve as a strategic technical advisor and customer-facing consultant, combining deep technical expertise with business acumen to deliver competitive, innovative, and high-performance solutions.

Job Description and Responsibilities            

Solution Architecture & Design

  • Develop end-to-end Optical Transport Network (OTN) and DWDM solutions aligned with customer requirements and market trends.
  • Validate solution architecture and collaborate with product lifecycle management and global validation teams.
  • Design complex optical networks encompassing DWDM, OTN, PTN, SDH, MPLS-TP, Metro Ethernet, Packet Optical, and DCI interconnect architectures.

Technical Sales & Business Development

  • Partner with business development and sales teams to define technical strategies and deliver compelling, commercially viable proposals.
  • Lead bid management processes for complex RFPs and RFIs, ensuring technical accuracy and differentiation.
  • Engage directly with major telecom and enterprise clients to position optical transport solutions and secure multimillion-dollar deals.

Customer Engagement & Representation

  • Act as the primary technical representative for customer engagements, workshops, roadshows, and marketing events.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, partners, and stakeholders across diverse markets.
  • Represent the organisation in regional and global forums to enhance brand presence and solution awareness.

Leadership & Collaboration

  • Lead cross-functional and multicultural teams in solution development, presales activities, and market expansion initiatives.
  • Mentor and develop junior engineers and consultants, fostering a culture of technical excellence and innovation.
  • Collaborate with regional and global product teams to align local requirements with corporate strategy.

Project Manager - DWDM

Position Objectives:

  • Project manager is responsible to manage, follow up and coordinate all transmission and Legacy Technology migration and dismantling activities (DWDM, OTN and SDH) related to the Optical Transport program across all stakeholders and departments (Planning, Design, Transmission, Data Transport (MPLS), and Business Units).
  • Adept at managing complex transmission projects, network migrations, and legacy system decommissioning. 
  • Skilled in coordinating across planning, design, integration, and operations teams to ensure seamless end-to-end implementation. 
  • Proficient in site integration, IP configuration, NMS setup, and resolving technical dependencies. 
  • Strong track record in risk analysis, stakeholder communication, and maintaining project timelines. 
  • Experienced in handling vendor coordination and ensuring ISP/OSP readiness. 
  • Driving operational excellence in optical transport projects.


Job Description & Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate DWDM/OTN new platforms and expansion activities across business units
  • Support the team in DWDM troubleshooting and find solutions for blocking issues
  • Liaise with Core department on DWDM Rings, Ethernet switches, and New PE AGGs
  • Ensure DWDM readiness is communicated to the Vendors
  • Perform analysis of the complete ISOW (ISP/OSP)
  • Ensure proper IP MPLS configuration with the integration team and verify all related IP assignments are issued by Design
  • Oversee site integration activities (Configure IP requirements in MPLS network, verify and prepare site parameters in NMS, integrate new elements in the current network, Perform CWO cross-connections across network for any SDH Site)
  • Ensure End-to-End ISP/OSP readiness and handover
  • Coordinate ISP implementation with all related parties (Core Network Implementation, Fixed Access, Operations, Budget control and Hand Over Control domains)
  • Monitor temporary (workaround in case of urgency) and final solutions and implementation progress and migration
  • Ensure migration activities are performed according to plan
  • Report transmission and backhauling activities progress regularly to program management
  • Provide risk analysis, mitigation plans, and recommendations
  • Resolve DWDM network Implementation dependencies
  • Handle delivery-related issues across departments
  • Ensure fiber implementation and Space/DC power readiness with Fixed Network and Buildings department
  • Coordinate with Network Design Directorate for preparation and issuance of Scope of Work and Work Orders to Vendors
  • Keep Network Databases and tracking systems regularly updated
  • Track MDT requests and approvals
  • Communicate priorities to all involved departments based on project needs
  • Ensure all work is captured in the Project schedule
  • Achieve 90% work completion as per approved Project schedule
  • Deliver scheduled progress and quality reports on time with complete details; ensure timely updates to Project Tracking System Databases


Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Telecommunications Engineering or a related field
  • 15+ years of experience in Optical Transport Transmission, with a strong focus on DWDM, OTN, and MPLS delivery coordination and project management
  • Proven experience in drafting technical reports and preparing executive-level presentations
  • Strong technical knowledge of Transmission networks, IP/MPLS, DWDM, and GPON technologies
  • Solid understanding of legacy DWDM and SDH systems
  • Advanced skills in management reporting and presentation to senior stakeholders
  • Excellent command of the English language (both written and spoken); proficiency in Arabic is highly desirable
  • PMP certification is a plus and will be considered an added advantage

VAS LBS Technical Expert

Position Objective:

To lead solution architecture and design for VAS and LBS services, ensuring interworking with other domains, driving transformation, and aligning with regulatory standards and business goals.

Job Description and Responsibilities:

  • Designs VAS and LBS networks (SMSF, LMF, CBCF, SMSC, SMS-FW, MMSC, LBS, MCA, MCC, DMC, OTA, RBT, IVR, VM, USSD, roaming solutions) to meet business requirements.
  • Develops capabilities for 5G standalone core and VAS/LBS services, including network slicing and edge use cases.
  • Drives transformation and modernization of VAS services to align with emerging technologies.
  • Manages capacity and performance expansions for VAS and LBS network components and services.
  • Ensures business continuity, georedundancy, and multi-layer resilience for VAS services, incorporating risk management guidelines.
  • Coordinates with Mobility, Transport, Fixed Services, IT, Cyber Security, and Operations teams for VAS/LBS node integration.
  • Conducts end-to-end validation, verification, and acceptance testing for new VNFs/CNFs.
  • Designs and validates VAS/LBS solutions, including NFV, OPNFV, service chaining, NFVI, VIM, and NFVO, approving related Method of Procedures (MOPs).
  • Maintains and approves technical documentation (HLD, LLD, integration specs, solution documents).
  • Validates vendor solutions, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and the latest technologies.
  • Prepares and evaluates RFX, RFI, RFP, RFQ, and BOQs, supporting procurement and vendor evaluation.
  • Conducts POCs, proposes emerging technologies, and drives business value through operational efficiency and service enablement.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Minimum 12 years of experience in telecommunications, with in-depth expertise in VAS and LBS design.
  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Telecom Engineering, or a related field from a reputed university.
  • Techno-functional role requiring expertise in VAS/LBS (e.g., SMSF, LMF, CBCF, SMSC, SMS-FW, MMSC, LBS, MCA, MCC, DMC, OTA, RBT, IVR, VM, USSD, Roaming solutions), 5G standalone core, NFV (NFVI, VIM, NFVO), and Telco Cloud.
  • Hands-on experience in network automation and orchestration (e.g., Python, Ansible) and VAS/LBS solution validation.
  • Strong VAS design skills, including service architecture design, cross-domain integration, vendor management, and business value creation.
  • Ability to lead technical and functional aspects of VAS/LBS initiatives, balancing design expertise with stakeholder collaboration and regulatory compliance.
  • Excellent communication (written, oral, listening), leadership, analytical, and problem-solving skills, with proficiency in executive reporting and presentations.
  • Industry-recognized certifications in telecom, cloud, or network design (e.g., Nokia SRA, AWS Certified Solutions Architect, TM Forum Open APIs) desirable.

Adviser – Infra Business Planning & Performance

Position Objectives:

The role holder is responsible for developing infrastructure Sector business plan in line with corporate strategy and ensuring that the business needs of Business Units are covered in network strategic initiatives. The role holder is also responsible for developing Infrastructure Sector KPIs and their monitoring to track performance against plan. The role holder shall carry out his duties in accordance with the stipulated business policies and procedures.



Job Description & Responsibilities:

  • Manages liaison with Strategy Sector and Business Units, with respect to the planning cycle.
  • Develops infrastructure Sector business plan in line with corporate strategy direction.
  • Aligns infrastructure Sector business plans with Business Units, to ensure business needs are covered in infrastructure strategic initiatives.
  • Follows up on the implementation of the network business plan initiatives to ensure that the plans are implemented accurately.
  • Develops and tracks operational KPIs on a monthly basis to monitor Sector performance against the plan.
  • Generates infrastructure Sector performance reports for review and suggests corrective action if necessary.
  • Carries out business viability assessment for each strategic initiative to ensure effectiveness of the plan.
  • Monitor project progress and proactively track bottlenecks and related issues to ensure that project schedules and key milestones are satisfactorily met.
  • Coordinate project activities across all stakeholders with all involved departments and sections departments to ensure well-ordered, end-to-end execution of all project tasks.
  • Supervise the completed work results and compare with provided guidelines and project plans.
  • Establish mechanism to track, review and clarify problem issues raised in the project, and to identify actions needed to resolve project blocking issues.



Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Telecommunications / Electronics & Communication Engineering / Business Administration
  • Relevant certification in scorecard implementation like Balance Scorecard Professional Certification and Valid Project Management Certifications (PMI_PMP, PMI_ACP and PMI_PBA) with extensive knowledge of PM methodologies and professional experience in program/projects management and delivery
  • A minimum of 8 years of relevant experience with at least 3 - 4 years in a similar role
  • Prior experience in business planning for network technology function of a large telecommunications organization
  • Prior experience in KPI development and monitoring for network technology function of a large telecommunications organization
  • Knowledge of the telecom industry.
